President of Philippines declares that the city of Manila is being quarantined

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the closure of the capital, Manila as a precautionary measure aimed at tackling the deadly Corona virus.
Two days ago, President Rodrigo Duterte declared a state of emergency across the country, after the Philippine Ministry of Health unveiled the first local transmission of the Corona Virus (Covid-19) and recorded 10 confirmed cases of the virus.
Duterte signed the emergency declaration to intensify the efforts of government agencies and units, to act immediately to prevent loss of life and use appropriate resources to implement urgent and decisive measures to contain and prevent the spread of corona, mitigate its effects and impact on society and prevent disruption in the performance of government and society.
