Saudi Airlines suspends all its international flights from today until further notice

 

 

Saudi Airlines announced that it will temporarily suspend all its international flights, as of 11:00 a.m. today, Sunday March 15, 2020, and until further notice.

The Saudi News Agency stated that this action comes in accordance with the precautionary and preventive measures taken by the competent authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the outbreak of the new Corona virus (COVID-19), and according to the instructions issued by the General Authority of Civil Aviation to suspend all international flights for a period of two weeks, while continuing to operate Domestic flights between the Kingdom's airports, on schedule, without change.

She added that Saudi Airlines is keeping pace with the precautionary measures taken by the competent authorities in the Kingdom and preventive instructions in this regard, with immediate application starting from the suspension of Guangzhou flights on the second of last February and then suspending flights to a number of destinations until the complete suspension of all international flights starting today, in The time that Saudi Airlines contributed as the national carrier of the Kingdom and in coordination with the competent authorities, and the Kingdom's embassies in many countries of the world in organizing the return of citizens of the Kingdom from various countries of the world.

Saudi Airlines has also been keen on applying a number of preventive and precautionary measures in providing services to guests in all service locations and during flights, and maintenance operations where sterilization and deep cleaning are carried out after the plane arrives.

The measures also include the intensification of awareness-raising messages for employees on preventive measures to prevent the spread of the virus, examining the pilgrims after each trip and granting a two-week vacation to the pilgrims returning from countries that have been prohibited to travel as well as the employees who were on vacation in those countries, and the use of technology in holding group meetings and meetings in Sectors, corporations and strategic units.
