Peace declaration, accord important steps towards more peaceful, prosperous Middle East

Britain’s foreign minister Dominic Raab on Wednesday lauded the historic signing of peace agreements between the UAE, Bahrain, and Israel, hailing the US leadership after a meeting with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Washington.“We fully support the agreements between the UAE and Bahrain with Israel,” he said at a joint media conference.
“These are really important steps towards a more peaceful and prosperous the Middle East. We also believe it is an opportunity for dialogue between the Israelis and the Palestinians. I think that will be ultimately necessary for an enduring two-state solution.”
Pompeo said that watching three nations together establishing relations was a great day.
“These historic events show what is possible when people of goodwill work towards achieving peace,” he said.
