My son not better than you: Mohammed bin Zayed to soldier

"Dhiab is not better than you."

These words uttered by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, while kissing the forehead of an injured Emirati serviceman, speaks volumes about the UAE's resolve to win the war in Yemen and maintain the security of the Gulf region - from the Strait of Hormuz to Bab Al Mandab.

Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed said this to underscore that his second son Shaikh Dhiab is in the battlefield, fighting along with his countrymen to restore the legitimacy of Yemen stolen by Houthi militias and pro-Saleh forces, as reported by Khaleej Times.

A video clip of Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed saying his son is not better than other Emirati soldiers has gone viral. By uttering these words, Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed has fuelled fresh enthusiasm among the Emiratis, giving an indication that the UAE leadership is determined to complete its mission in Yemen.

Likewise, Shaikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, son of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is also in the midst of the war along with Shaikh Mohammmed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah.

Thousands of Yemenis, particularly in the city of Aden, turned out on Thursday to stage a rally in support of the Arab coalition and to express their gratitude to Saudi Arabia and UAE for their key role in librating Yemen and restoring hope to its citizens.

The demonstrators held aloft photos of leaders from the UAE and Saudi Arabia and other countries participating in the coalition.

An Emirati soldier was killed on Saturday evening when the military vehicle he was travelling in met with an accident and overturned.

The UAE Armed Forces offered condolence to the family of the soldier praying to Allah to rest his soul in eternal peace.
