Umrah pilgrimage restarted with a limited number of pilgrims

As Saudi Arabia lifted Coronavirus restrictions that had been in place for quite a long time, limited numbers of pilgrims were allowed to enter the grand mosque to perform Umrah pilgrimages. Pilgrims wearing terrycloth garments circled Islam’s holiest site in mecca on Sunday.
It was in Early March Saudi Arabia suspended the Umrah pilgrimage, were millions of people gather, in the wake of the fast-spreading Coronavirus which has shaken the world. Almost all countries in the world have taken precautionary measures such as lockdowns and curfews to control the spread of Corona.
But as nations started easing restrictions, Saudi Arabia also decided to lift the restrictions on Umrah and make it limited by allowing 6000 pilgrims to enter the grand mosque to conduct the ritual daily. Initially, Only Saudi citizens and residents are permitted to conduct the ritual. Each person will get three hours in the mosque to perform Umrah. Pilgrims who are going to grand mosque must apply and reserve a specific time through online to avoid crowding and to keep social distancing. Pilgrims from other parts of the word will be allowed for the pilgrimage only after November 1.
