The latest reports say British Public Health missed to account nearly 16,000 cases in their virus tally, because of a computing glitch.
Which means, the government lost track of thousands of new cases or delayed passing that information to their Track and Trace system.
However, British authority now says they have contacted all those cases to tell them “they had the virus.”
Daily Mail and Telegraph report say the stall left officials desperately trying to hunt down contact of positive cases, some of which were back ten days.
Thousand of people are contacted and let known that they had the virus.
The glitch also surfaces as the country reported more than 22,000 new cases following the “technical glitch”.
Experts say the admission of Public Health England (PHE) also reveals that the virus is spreading faster than previously thought.
As of Monday, there are 42,350 deaths and 502,978 coronavirus cases in the United Kingdom.
