Three people have been injured after the Iran-backed Houthi militia launched a “military projectile” from Yemeni territory toward Jazan, southwestern Saudi Arabia.
The Deputy Spokesman for the Civil Defense Directorate in Jazan Region, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed bin Hassan Al-Samghan, said the missile was fired from inside Yemeni territory toward one of the border villages in Al Ardha governorate of Jazan, Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.
The civil defence teams immediately attended the scene, he added.
The civilians were injured by “flying shrapnel” and they were immediately taken to hospital for treatment.
The shrapnel also caused damage to a civilian vehicle that was near the site.
