World Odisha Foundation appoints Brand Ambassadors for 21 countries

World Odisha Foundation appoints Brand Ambassadors for 21 countries along with  Dr Arun Kumar Praharaj as the Chairman of the International Council.

The appointment was made as a part of the Global Odia Awakening Campaign led by ‘Vishva Odisha Parishad’ (World Odisha Foundation), an organisation working towards the development of Odisha in coordination with the Odia diaspora to create  Brand Odisha by promoting the state’s art, culture, literature and tourism across the world.

The appointment event was held this week in Bhubaneswar under the chairmanship of its President, Speaker of Government of Odisha’s Legislative Assembly, Dr Surya Narayan Patra in the Odisha Government Assembly Conference Hall.

The campaign also took up the initiative of celebrating 2021 as the ‘Year of Global Odia Goodwill’. Dr Surya Narayan Patra unveiled its memorial during the online event along with its Goodwill Ambassadors from 21 Countries - Bahrain, Canada, Japan, Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia, United Kingdom, Vietnam, Ireland, Dubai, Sharjah, Russia, Finland, Kuwait, Qatar, Italy, Malaysia, South Africa, Nigeria and USA.

Dr Praharaj was felicitated as the Goodwill Ambassador for the Kingdom of Bahrain by the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Dr Surya Narayan Patra, owing to his tremendous contributions to the upliftment and promotion of Brand Odisha. Dr Adrish Bramhadutta from Thailand was appointed as the Secretary of the International council.

Dr Patra was pleased and personally congratulated the newly appointed chairman of the International Council, Dr Praharaj who was also previously awarded as one of the top 20 most inspirational personalities of Odisha. Dr Patra assured the Chairman complete support to accomplish Vishva Odisha Parishad’s mission.

The event was coordinated by the General Secretary of Vishva Odisha Mr Manoj Manmay and Chief Coordinator Advocate Mr Manorajan Pattnaik and attended by many distinguished dignitaries.
