Two expats fall from Sharjah high-rises
Two expatriates fell from high-rises in separate incidents in Sharjah, reported Arabic daily ‘Al Ittihad’.
A 32-year-old Ethiopian woman fell from the sixth floor balcony of a building in Al Majaz area and died on the spot.
The operations room of Sharjah Police received information at about 10am on Saturday and the rescue team discovered her body at the site.
In a separate incident, a Bangladeshi was seriously injured after he fell from a high-rise in Al Majaz area.
He has been transferred to Kuwaiti hospital.
Meanwhile, a 33-year-old Indian man died after he was run over by a vehicle on Mohamed Bin Zayed Street.
The Indian had reportedly stopped his car on the side of the road, when a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old citizen ran over him, the report said.
