Verbal duel between teachers lands them in police station
A fight between a Kuwaiti and an Egyptian teacher not only ended them up in a police station in Kuwait, but also resulted in calls to remove them from the teaching profession as they had set a bad example for students.
The incident went viral on Arabic social media.
After both teachers in a government school in Kuwait had an argument, they started screaming at each other and using abusive words.
Many users of social media urged the Kuwaiti education Minister to sack both the teachers.
Maram, a Kuwaiti woman, said teaching is a noble profession and teachers must be extra careful in their behaviour and attitude, especially in front of students as they see them as role models.
Fahad, a Kuwaiti man, said the incident is an embarrassment for teachers. “They shouldn’t have done such a thing. They should be wiser and more responsible,” he said.
