Angelababy's insane $31m wedding - China's Kim Kardashian
Twenty-six-year-old actress and singer Angela Yeung, known as Angelababy had a lavish wedding in Shanghai that cost a reported $31 million.
She is also known as the 'Kim Kardashian of China.'
One of the biggest celebrity in China, the actress wed actor Huang Xiaoming, in a ceremony attended by 2,000 guests.
Valued at over $1.5 million, the wedding band— the Josephine Aigrette Imperiale ring, designed by Parisian jeweler Chaumet—showcases a five-carat pear-shaped diamond surrounded by half a carat of brilliant-cut diamonds.
The elaborate ceremony—which was live-streamed online—boasted a holographic castle, not to mention a ten-foot cake shaped like a carousel (which reportedly took a month to make). Each attendee left the lavish event with a bagful of gifts, including a mobile phone.
Goodie bags for all 2,000 guests included a new cell phone.
The couple went to Paris for a pre-wedding photoshoot where she is seen wearing a series of designer gowns.
To top it all, Dior custom-designed her bespoke ivory satin organza wedding dress which took 5 months.
According to Dior, Angelababy's wedding gown was made of115 feet of satin organza, 170 feet of tulle and featured a 10 foot long train.
Leaked videos of the wedding show how extravagant was the entire ceremony.
The Shanghai Exhibition Center was covered with flowers from 200 florists.
China's CCTV called it 'the wedding of the century.'
To put this madness into perspective, the Kim Kardashian of America, aka Kim Kardashian, only spent a paltry $12 million on her wedding to Kanye West. And the Royal Wedding, between Prince William and Kate, cost $34 million.
