Tamil short film ready for release

Mideast Films, in association with CINECO Bahrain, will be releasing a Tamil Short Film entitled “Thedum Podhey Tholainthen” exclusively in Bahrain theatres on 9 December.

“Thedum Podhey Tholainthen” is a 30-minute Indian Tamil language short film, which is fully produced and made in Bahrain with a talented local cast and crew by a group of Indians living in Bahrain.

The film was written and directed by Rajasekar Sittanandam and, produced by Srinivasan Arumugam, under the banner of Mideast Films.

The movie’s audio was recently launched on 22 October by leading Indian celebrities actor Bharat Srinivasan and actress Vani Bhojan in Chennai, India and many VIP’s from Bahrain.

Executive producer Srinivasan Arumugam said: “We are elated that our movie “Thedum Podhey Tholainthen” is finally getting released on the big screen this December with the support of CINECO, Bahrain.

It’s the first of its kind, a short film to come on a big screen for a public theatrical release like other mainstream movies.

The idea of making this movie locally is a bold step to encourage and support the creative and aspiring talents in Bahrain and GCC.

“Mideast Films will remain to be an acceleration platform that bridges the talented local cast and crew with mainstream movie industry by multiple association agreements with leading international film production houses.

Director Rajasekar and the screenwriters together have aesthetically made this movie, which will be an entertaining and emotional experience for the audiences.

This project is a first step forward for the great vision and we look forward to having full support from Bahrain audiences to make this movie a great success.

Director Rajasekar said: “Thedum Podhey Tholainthen” isn’t just my dream alone, but the dream of the whole crew.

The movie is a heart-touching story that connects a single mom, her only son and his fiancee.

Every word, dialogue, emotion, music track and screenplay is what I lived through the last six months and I’m sure, it will be one of my director piece creations in my entire life.
