Saudi Arabia started today the implementation of new rules regarding travel out and into the Kingdom.
Under the rules announced last week, Saudis planning to travel abroad must have taken the third dose (booster) of the (Covid-19) at least three months after receiving the second dose.
The rule does not apply to those aged less than 16 and to groups excluded as indicated in the "Tawakkalna" app, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported, quoting the Interior Ministry.
Those arriving in Saudi Arabia, including Saudi citizens, and regardless of their immunization status, are required to submit an approved negative PCR test or negative COVID-19 Antigen Test issued within 48 hours from the date of departure to the Kingdom. Those under eight years old are not exempted from the rule, taking into account the regulations of countries of origin related to cases with Covid19 infection procedures for children.
Saudis infected with the Coronavirus are allowed to enter the Kingdom without the need for a PCR seven days after their positive tests on the condition they have completed the vaccine doses approved by Saudi Arabia.
Those who did not complete the doses must wait 10 days after their positive PCR results.
