Focus on values of coexistence and peace: Shaikh Khalid tells Tangier Dialogue

Bahrain’s Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa yesterday called for promoting the values of coexistence, dialogue and openness, which he said are essential pillars of HM King Hamad’s Reform Project.

It’s also “one of the most important features of the authentic Bahraini identity, as confirmed by the National Action Charter and the Constitution,” said Shaikh Khalid addressing the opening session of “Tangier Dialogue”, hosted by Morocco.

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s policies, the Advisor to HM the King for Diplomatic Affairs said, focus on the “consolidation of the values of coexistence and peace among countries and peoples, as well as support for dialogue aimed at achieving rapprochement and mutual understanding.”

Shaikh Khalid also commended the unwavering interest of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in establishing joint action and cooperation between various peoples and cultures.

Senior officials and decision-makers from the region and many countries took part in the dialogue.

HM the King’s Advisor asserted that Bahrain and Morocco have, for several centuries, worked together to enhance security, peace and stability in the region by spreading the culture of coexistence, dialogue and understanding as principles of joint action.
