A part has been cast for Quaden Bayles in the next film Mad Max: Furiosa. Hugh Jackman and Cardi B among others offered their support to the 11-year-old indigenous Australian child after his mother shared a Facebook video of him expressing his want to "kill himself" in response to taunts regarding his disability.

Bayles has now been given a small part in George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road prequel, the sequel to the postapocalyptic 2015 hit. The news was revealed in an interview that appeared in The Sydney Morning Herald.

Miller told the newspaper, "It was good for us and it was good for him." And he performed so well that he was given a small part in Furiosa. Anya Taylor-Joy, who starred in The Queen's Gambit, is scheduled to take on Charlize Theron's starring role from Mad Max: Fury Road in what is being billed as Australia's biggest production to date.

It will also star Chris Hemsworth, Idris Elba, and Tilda Swinton. Achondroplasia, a kind of dwarfism characterised by small stature, a normal-sized torso, and short limbs, was present at birth in Bayles.

Bayles may be seen sobbing in the backseat of his mother's car, pleading for a knife to commit suicide, in the 2020 viral video live-streamed to highlight the effects of bullying.

His mother was heard saying in the since-deleted video, "This is what bullying does. “Can you please educate your children, your families, your friends?”
