Over 2.6 million worshippers pray at Masjid Al Haram on 27th of Ramadan

This year’s 27th night of Ramadan saw a historically significant gathering of worshippers and pilgrims at the holy Kaaba.
Muslims from all over the world travel in their millions to the holy city of Mecca.
At Masjid Al Haram, they worship and undertake Umrah. On the 27th night of Ramadan, Masjid Alharam witnessed an overwhelming number of worshippers and pilgrims, with a record-breaking number of 2,624,105 people.
The Umrah pilgrims and worshippers entered smoothly through 118 gates, including three gates for the entry of Umrah performers, 68 gates for worshippers, 50 gates for emergencies, and 40 internal gates, with the support of all human and technical teams.
According to sources, the presidency provided more than 5,000 regular vehicles for transportation, 3,000 electric vehicles, 200 electric stairs, and 14 escalators to serve the elderly and people with special needs.
The Masjid, also known as the Grand Mosque, is one of the largest mosques in the world and the most sacred site in Islam.
It surrounds the Kaaba, which Muslims believe is the house of Allah, and is the focal point of their prayers.
The number of worshippers and pilgrims during this night reflects the importance of this particular night in the Islamic calendar.
The 27th night of Ramadan is known as Laylat al-Qadr, and it is one of the holiest nights.
It is believed that on this night, the first verses of the Quran were revealed to Prophet Muhammad.
Worship during this night is believed to be more rewarding than any other night of the year.
