Air France plane takes mystery u-turn over English Channel
An Air France flight destined for San Franciso as been spotted making several loops over the English Channel before heading back to Paris.
The Boeing 777-228ER was scheduled to leave at 10.30am CET, was delayed until 10.59am.
But Flight Radar shows the flight complete a figure of eight over the English Channel before returning to France approximately half an hour into the flight.
A spokeswoman for Air France told MailOnline that the redirection was caused by 'a minor technical issue, the flight diverted to Paris for precautionary measure, and landed safely.'
