Israel continued its bombing spree in Gaza yesterday, with the latest report being the attack on a school run by the United Nations that caused the death of 27 people and injuries to many.

The Israeli strike targeted the school located in the Jabalia refugee camp, the health ministry of Gaza said. Yesterday’s attack on a UN school in a refugee camp came even as US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said he would ask Israel to take “concrete steps” to minimise harm to civilians in Gaza.

Over 2.3 million Palestinians live in the Gaza Strip and the death toll since October 7th has crossed over 9,000, mainly civilians and children. Another Israeli airstrike yesterday smashed a residential building to rubble in the Bureji refugee camp in the south of Gaza City.

At least 15 persons were killed in the barrage that hit around 100 metres from AlQuds Hospital, Palestinian Red Crescent Society said.
