Modi names 71 member cabinet for 3rd term

Thousands of dignitaries, including the leaders of seven regional countries, Bollywood stars, and industrialists, took part yesterday in the swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India at the President’s palace in New Delhi.
“Honoured to serve Bharat,” Modi posted on X, minutes before he was sworn in, referring to India’s name in Indian languages.
A total of 72 leaders were sworn in to be part of the Modi 3.0 ministry, with the new Cabinet consisting of 30 Cabinet ministers.
Notably, actor-turned-politician Suresh Gopi from Kerala is among those in the Modi-led government. Coalition leaders taking the oath included Ram Mohan Naidu of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), BJP’s largest ally with 16 seats, which reportedly secured four cabinet positions.
Rajiv Ranjan Singh from the Janata Dal (United), the next largest BJP ally with 12 seats, also took the oath and reportedly has two Cabinet ministers.
Other prominent leaders in the Cabinet include Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, JP Nadda , Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Nirmala Sitharaman, Dr. S. Jaishankar, Manohar Lal Khattar, HD Kumara swamy, Piyush Goyal, Dharmendra Pradhan, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Rajiv Ranjan (Lalan) Singh, Sarbananda Sonowal, Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, Dr. Virendra Kumar, Jual Oram, Pralhad Joshi , Ashwini Vaishnaw, Giriraj Singh, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Bhupendra Yadav, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Annapurna Devi, Kiren Rijiju , Mansukh Mandaviya , Hardeep Singh Puri, GK Reddy, Chirag Paswan, CR Patil, Rao Inderjit Singh, Jitendra Singh, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Prataprao Jadhav, and Jayant Chaudhary.
Ministers of State include Jitin Prasada, Shripad Naik, Pankaj Chaudhary, Krishan Pal Gurjar, Ramdas Athawale, Nityanand Rai, Anupriya Patel, V Somanna, Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, SP Singh Baghel, Shobha Karandlaje, Kirti Vardhan Singh, BL Verma, Shantanu Thakur, Kamlesh Paswan, Band i Sanjay Kumar, Ajay Tamta, Dr. L Murugan, Suresh Gopi, George Kurian, Ravneet Singh Bittu, Sanjay Seth, and Raksha Khadse.
